*Household 2 is only applicable to students who live in a shared household arrangement to ensure both households receive important information.
Recital Terms and Conditions
Administration
- All term fees will be paid in full before recital day, including any late fees in order for my child to participate. Please contact the office if you have a payment plan and will not be able to complete payment by the recital day.
- Recital Fees and this form are due by Friday 28 October. Your Recital Enrolment will not be confirmed until both are received.
- Late Enrolments may be accepted depending on the availability of costumes and minimal disruption to choreography.
- Please communicate with the office staff if you have any trouble returning this form or making your payment on time, to ensure your child does not miss out on participating and to ensure costumes are allocated.
- The discount of $20 is only available to those who pay in full by Friday 30 October.
- Credits / Refunds may be considered depending on the individual situation and the date of withdrawal from the recital.
- Please read all information about the recital that is given in paper form or posted on the website.
- Check the website regularly for updates and new information.
Commitment - Lessons and Rehearsals
- Students are required to attend their regular term 4 lessons to learn and master their dances for the recital. If lessons are missed, students should attend alternative lessons on another day to catch up on what they have missed in their own class.
- Extra rehearsals are very important. Full attendance is required at all extra rehearsals
- The theatre rehearsals are vital. Full attendance is required at the theatre rehearsals.
- ALSD works very hard to run to time at rehearsals. Understanding and patience will be given if any rehearsals run later than the scheduled finish time. This may be because your own child or child’s class has needed more time than anticipated or there has been an unexpected technical issue that has delayed the rehearsals.
Performances
With the exception of children in preschool classes:
- We expect the students to participate in both performances
- All students will remain onsite at the theatre for the duration of both performances and between performances unless told otherwise.
- ALSD works very hard to run to time on recital day. Both performances have been timed to run for 2.5 hours, including a 20-minute interval. Understanding and patience will be given if either performance runs over time. This may be because of late arrivals or the audience being late back to their seats after the interval or unforeseen events/issues that arise during a performance.
Video and Photos
- The recital will be videoed and parts of this may be used for promotional purposes.
- Onstage action photos will be taken during the recital and these may be used for promotional purposes.
- If I have concerns about this, I will contact the office.
Withdrawal from the Recital
- If you wish to withdraw your child from the recital at any point in term 4 please notify the office as soon as possible out of courtesy. Refunds/credits for recital fees circumstances are not guaranteed.
- Teachers reserve the right to withdraw students from a recital item. The main reason for this would be if a student has not attended the necessary lessons/rehearsals to be able to learn their dance properly to participate without causing disruption or confusion to the other students.
