Class Viewing Dates

Term One Class Viewing

We are sure you are aware of the preventative measures we should all now be taking to help prevent one another from the spread of COVID-19.

In keeping with these preventive measures we have decided to postpone all Watching Days this term until further notice.

At this stage, classes will be continuing to run as normal. We will continue to monitor the actions taken by local schools and will be in touch if the situation changes.

We respectfully ask that parents and students only use the waiting room when absolutely necessary. This will help to limit the number of people we have onsite at any one time.

Whilst we do not wish to cause panic, we also want to be proactive against the spread of any illness and keep our dance families safe and well.

Regards, The ALSD Team

We hold class viewing days at the end of our first two terms.  As the classes are learning recital dances there will no parent viewing in Term 3.

Important Guidelines – PLEASE READ

Unfortunately in the past we have had a large number of disturbances that greatly upset classes (and students). Please respect both our students and teachers by adhering to the below guidelines:

  • Due to limited space we ask that we keep spectators to a maximum of two per child.
  • Please respect the teachers and students on viewing days and do not bring siblings into the dance room unless they can sit still and quietly throughout the entire performance.
  • No food or drink is to be brought into the dance room please.
  • Classes will stop a few minutes earlier than normal on these days to give spectators time to exit the dance room before the next lesson is due to start to ensure all classes run to time.
  • Out of respect and for privacy reasons we ask that any videos and/or photos taken must be only of your own child. Any videos or photographs uploaded to social media must also be only of your own child.
  • Please remember that not all children are comfortable with people watching them. Their behavior can alter on watching days due to embarrassment and they may lose concentration if distracted.   We ask that all spectators remain quiet throughout the class to ensure the children and teachers all feel comfortable and you see their best work.

Thank you for your consideration and co-operation.
